I've also heard Elon Musk compared to Charles Lindbergh, someone whose place in history was assured because their accomplishments were so outstanding that they had overshadowed some of their shortcomings... and then they reveal themselves as a terrible dumpster inferno of a person, and their legacy is permanently stained as a result.
I don't think the Twitter fiasco is the cause of Musk being terrible; it just accelerated the process of us all finding out.
It hadn't occurred to me to think about the implications of the HC strike for publishers outside the Big 5 circle. Maybe Anne will write about that (if she hasn't already--I'm behind on my reading.)
